Asheville has made great strides toward becoming a more bike-friendly town— and it sounds like New Belgium Brewing is going to contribute even more as it builds its new operation in the River Arts District — but what’s missing here is a big public-information push. In spite of the growing number of bike lanes, most people see bicyclists as oddballs/daredevils, and there’s a big us vs. them mentality that goes both ways between car drivers and bicyclists.
